Dr. Peter M. Ferraro, DC, MCS-P of Fast Twitch Saddle Brook and NFL Alumni (NFLA) have partnered to deliver the most advanced, state of the art human performance and integrative medicine services available that will enrich the lives of its members and local youth. Fast Twitch will assist NFLA and its members through opening brick and mortar locations in alignment with NFLA locations that will be the representation of NFLA core goals of taking care of their own and Caring for Kids. The facilities will use their Professional Sports Performance and Functional Rehabilitation Protocols to afford the local youth, high school, collegiate, semi pro and professional athletes the opportunity to train as champions before them have. With our advanced methodologies to aid in injury prevention, NFL Alumni members will be working in concert with Fast Twitch as liaisons to their local community to bring our state-of-the-art technology to the public. Dr. Ferraro will serve as the Chief Executive Officer in delivering guidance and insight while using his facilities as a catalyst for testing, exercise, rehabilitation and performance.
Celebrating 24 years in practice, Dr. Peter Ferraro recognizes that people are increasingly interested in seeking alternatives to traditional medicine to achieve and maintain peak performance. Combining the most advanced technology and a multidisciplinary approach, this trailblazing physician has created a unique and all-encompassing center for health and wellness. Dr. Ferraro earned his doctorate at New York Chiropractic College. Amongst his many accomplishments, Dr. Ferraro is also the founder of Advance Compliance Solutions, a consulting firm dedicated to practice management, as a certified medical compliance specialist for the healthcare industry and a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders. Dr. Ferraro is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association Governors Advisory Cabinet, Association of NJ Chiropractors and the Italian American Police Society of NJ.
Working with athletes of all ages – children to seniors – the facility has successfully helped tens of thousands of members. Dr. Ferraro’s work with professional athletes led to the NFL Alumni Wellness Challenge, an online reality series featuring former NFL stars who have an interest in testing their physical and mental health. “The program was created as a platform for health and wellness initiatives and ultimately seeks to improve lives,” said Ferraro, the Chief Wellness Officer and a founding member of the NFL Alumni Wellness Challenge. “The best part is showcasing participant’s progress to the public as an example of what can be done when you work hard in a proactive environment. These guys are warriors and exemplary role models.”
Dr. Ferraro added Fast Twitch Saddle Brook, an Under Armour Elite Training Facility to enhance the healing process and help patients achieve optimum function and injury prevention. The facility, headed by Chris Tuttle, Co-Owner and Chief Operating Officer. As a graduate of Misericordia University, where Chris as the Team Captain, held the single season and career records for fielding percentage. From there Chris continued to serve Misericordia as Assistant Baseball Coach, and on to University of Cincinnati as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Villanova University Strength and Conditioning Coach and finally as Interim Director of Athletic Performance Villanova Football.
Fast Twitch is staffed by Masters in Exercise Physiology and Sports Science professionals, using software that provides 15-minute, non-invasive assessments that generate personalized reports as well as state-of-the-art telemetry equipment known as Athos and InBody. Fast Twitch facilities are strategically designed to integrate the main elements of training, functional strength, resistance training, speed and agility, plyometrics, and core strength. The facilities’ seamless layout and unique equipment are dictated by the demands of the FT Methodology, which stresses the translation of performance training into sport performance.
We are proud to announce the addition of Brad Kelly, MBA as our Chief Financial Officer to grow this joint venture with NFL Alumni to a national platform. Brad brings his battle tested skills from serving in multiple Special Operations combat missions in Afghanistan. His military service began upon his graduation from West Point Military Academy after having played as the starting tackle for their illustrious football team. Upon completion of his active duty, Brad went on to receive his MBA from Harvard and now works as a Strategy Consultant for Bain & Co.
As our growth strategist and member of our advisory board we have added Jim DiOrio. Mr. DiOrio’s career is a testament to his life as a servant leader. A graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Jim served as a Field Artillery and Civil Affairs Officer in the US Army. He then served 20 years in the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he led criminal and terrorist investigations, oversaw the FBI’s Evidence Response Team.
He has worked as a liaison to military and intelligence units worldwide and is a highly decorated officer. He also serves on the Board of the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, a nonprofit he helped found that provides scholarships to veterans and military family members. Jim is the President and CEO of Global Security Consulting Company (J3 Global) focused on providing complete security and investigative solutions to individuals and corporations alike.
Fast Twitch has been operational in our Saddle Brook NJ location for 4 years as phase 1 of the partnership and plan to ramp up the efforts in Q1 of 2020 to eventually include all the 35 NFL Alumni Chapter locations.
