Serving our dual mission of “Caring for Kids” and “Caring for our Own,” NFL Alumni Association is expanding its positive influence on young people in the United States by announcing its new NFLA National Headquarters streaming studio and Twitch® page as well as launching a series of esports events along with its current Pro Day Experience educational field trips.

NFLA’s esports initiative features former NFL players inspired by their passion for gaming teaming up with esports figures and key strategic partners that support NFLA cause to present a series of educational events and competitive tournaments. These exciting and fun events will be broadcasted by ESTV while raising awareness and money for charity.

"We see gaming as an additional way for our chapters to engage their undeserved communities with a family-oriented, inclusive competitive gaming experience that uses esports as a bridge to other STEM interest while making kids aware of the educational and economic opportunities available via gaming," says NFLA Marketing Director Brent Reece.

NFLA has created the Pro Day Experience supporting agency to launch the following initiatives:

Pro Day Experience --  Launched in 2018, the NFL Alumni PRO DAY EXPERIENCE events are educational field trips focused on “Teamwork – Technology – Careers” for high school students. These experiential events are hosted on campus by educational partnerships with colleges and universities across America. Key partnership sponsors underwrite the PRO DAY EXPERIENCE events so that they are at no cost to the high schools nor the collegiate hosts and always are free to the high school students participating.

“The NFL Alumni PRO DAY EXPERIENCE program is designed to lower the barrier to entry to STEAM education while expanding the horizon of opportunity so that students feel empowered to pursue their dreams,” said NFL Alumni member Dean Dalton. “We let students engage directly with successful professionals in three phases:

1.      Our CAREER PANEL introduces students to professionals with faces that look like their own coming from backgrounds much like their own who have achieved success in a variety of different careers.

2.      Our TEAMWORK STATIONS introduce students to leadership lessons and the values of teamwork working directly with our military personnel and former NFL heroes.

3.      Our ESPORTS EDUCATION introduce students to the lessons learned and educational opportunities available through the rising popularity of esports.”

Dalton continued, “Our goal is for students to spend time on a college campus while learning and having a fun experience.”

NFL Alumni PRO DAY EXPERIENCE has transpired on numerous college campuses in many cities from coast to coast with upcoming 2020 events that continue to offer this fun and unique educational experience. What people have said about past PRO DAY EXPERIENCE events:

“Thank you, Dean, as we appreciate the absolute perfection we witnessed on Thursday and Friday at Texas Wesleyan University. The NFL Alumni created a great two days for our Fort Worth students. We can’t wait for next year’s program to bring our entire school district,” stated Ms. Tobi Jackson, Fort Worth Independent School District School Board and leader of the Tarrant County SPARC program.

Danny, CEO of Geekletes, has 10-plus years of experience in the industry of esports. He has aided in the professional development of students, interns, and post-graduates. These students have received esports scholarships and employment from acclaimed Universities and esports Organizations like Central Missouri University, Complexity Gaming, Pacers Gaming, and Mavs Gaming.

“We recognize that we’ve been able to give so many individuals opportunities within esports. Partnering with NFLA provides an even larger platform to contribute the efforts that are needed to truly make an impact on the lives of students.”
